President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Kyiv.

Today, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Kyiv unannounced. He has already met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss the idea of creating a €100 billion special fund to support Ukraine over 5 years.

The President of Ukraine welcomed the NATO Secretary General to Ukraine. He emphasized that this was the third visit of Jens Stoltenberg since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Stoltenberg and Zelenskyy also discussed the situation at the front, the preparation and holding of the NATO summit in Washington, support for Ukrainian soldiers, and the Russian counteroffensive.

According to Stoltenberg, it is unlikely that NATO members will be able to reach a consensus on inviting Ukraine to join the Alliance at the July summit, while “I think we can demonstrate that we are bringing Ukraine closer to membership.”

Regarding additional Patriot systems, there are first steps, but no specifics yet (Zelensky)

Stoltenberg acknowledged that in recent months, the allies have not provided the necessary support and, in particular, have not delivered the amount of ammunition they promised: “We have seen the consequences on the battlefield.”
