The Main Intelligence Directorate has sent active duty units to the hottest defense area to save the city from Russian occupation. This was reported by journalist Andriy Tsaplienko, citing his own sources.
According to the journalist, the DIU special forces have already arrived in Pokrovsk and have started working with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The decision to deploy the elite units was made personally by the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov.
The main task of the scouts will be counter-sabotage work and elimination of enemy groups that managed to infiltrate the city. The special forces have already started performing combat missions in the most difficult part of the frontline.
The situation in Pokrovsk remains critical, with the city under constant threat of encirclement by Russian troops.
