Farid Abdrakhmanov, general director of the Russian company Novator Research Design Bureau, is suspected of facilitating the aggressive war against Ukraine.
He organized the mass production and uninterrupted supply of missile weapons for the occupation groups of the aggressor country.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has served in absentia a notice of suspicion to Farid Abdrakhmanov, General Director of the Russian research and development bureau Novator, of aiding and abetting in the conduct of aggressive war (Article 27(5), Article 28(2) and Article 437(2) of the Criminal Code).
According to the investigation, Abdrakhmanov organized the production and supply of Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles to the Russian Navy on an industrial scale to wage an aggressive war against Ukraine.
In the course of the full-scale invasion, the missiles made by Novator were used by the Russian military to strike at civilian and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, according to the SBU.
The office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine clarified that Abdrakhmanov will soon be put on the international wanted list.
Since the defendant is in Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine.
